AIWIBI Australia donates Rs 5m to help families affected by Bhotekoshi flood
KATHMANDU: AIWIBI Australia has donated Rs 5 million to Nepal’s Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to help families affected by the recent Bhotekoshi flood.
The cheque was handed to Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle by Beauty Kumari Sarraf, Managing Director of AIWIBI Nepal, and the donation was organised through the company’s official distributor, Shubha Health Care Products.
AIWIBI said the contribution was raised via its sales network, with consumers, retailers and dealers taking part in the relief campaign. The company reported it mobilised the Rs 5 million within three days, based on purchases of AIWIBI products during the campaign period.
Sarraf said she was proud to be able to contribute at a time when communities in Nepal were coping with the consequences of the disaster. She thanked AIWIBI customers, “particularly mothers and families who purchase the brand’s products, as well as retailers and dealers whose support made the initiative possible.”
“This donation is not just from AIWIBI; it is from all of you. Every mother has a share in it, along with the hard work of our retailers and the trust of our dealers,” Sarraf said.
She also expressed gratitude to the government and emergency services, saying: “Thank you, Prime Minister, Home Minister, Finance Minister, the Army, Police, civil servants, volunteers, and everyone who extended a helping hand during the floods.”
AIWIBI Australia and its Nepal distribution network said they remain committed to supporting communities and contributing to relief initiatives when needed.
